I hope everyone had great holidays!!!  I know I did (gained 2 pounds), but we will talk about that later.

   I am very excited about Feburary!  It is dental month and we are offering a 10% discount on all our dentals.   Isn't that great-we all need to have dentals so why not take avantage of this great deal.

   Now I know that some of you are wondering why your pet would even need a dental , but I am here to tell you that dentals are so important for us.   You know that doggy or kitty breath that we can get?  This is usually the first sign of dental disease, but so easy to controll with regular dentals. Tartar can develop and harden on our teeth.  If the tartar is left on it can form large deposits of calculus which have bacteria.  The bacteria releases toxins that can eat into the ligaments which hold our teeth in place.   The bacteria can attack our immune system and can lead to kidney and cardiac disease.  It can also cause diabetes.  

   A dental includes the removal of plaque and tartar and an evaluation of all the teeth, gums,  and mouth tissue. Dentals are done under general anesthesia so we are free from discomfort and wake to a clean and fresh mouth and teeth.
